Everyone has a massive pivot project due to COVID and this is mine. Verizon’s annual internal event, Build It went from one big in-person event to a completely virtual experience overnight. We needed to keep people engaged so we gamified it.
Partnering with experiential agency MVRK to create an online game. Similar to ‘The Game of Life’, Build It: The Game takes each employee through a day in the life of Verizon’s consumer from sunrise to sunset, interacting with various products along the way. Each spot on the board triggers a pre-recorded video or mini-game focused around the specific product. The players gain points and the top scorers on the leaderboard win prizes.
